The Story of Volverup

Volverup was founded in 2013 as a radical green start-up within the "Progetto Manifattura," the sustainable economy hub in Trentino. Created by the couple Melina Benetton, an architect, and Nicola Dorosz, an artist, Volverup has always aimed to demonstrate that doing the right thing is possible and that the greatest challenges lead to the most intense satisfactions.

Our Philosophy

From the beginning, the idea has been to create a company where every decision is ethically right, with a focus on the reuse and transformation of materials, prioritising time and people.

The Beginnings

The first year was dedicated to analysis, feasibility studies, and research on materials to work with. The founders experimented with various reclaimed materials, such as wallpaper, billboards, and carpets, eventually focusing on truck tarpaulins.

Growth

In September 2014, Volverup inaugurated its first retail location in Rovereto, in the San Marco district, a true workshop-store where designs are conceived and created following the company's philosophy of valuing human labour and creating an efficient network with the local area and community.

In 2018, the second store was opened in the centre of Trento, and in 2019, production moved to a new workshop on the outskirts of Rovereto.

Recent Years

Following the challenges of the pandemic period, 2023 has been a year full of initiatives and collaborations. In February, Volverup was invited to Mipel, the largest fashion and accessories fair in Milan, gaining the opportunity to collaborate with the South Korean market.

In May, Volverup participated in a project by the IUAD Academy of Milan (Institute of Universal Art and Design) through a contest and initiated a collaboration with Muse, the Science Museum of Trento, creating a limited edition product line dedicated to the museum.

Looking to the Future

2024 began with the same passion for research and the development of new projects and products. Every day, we face new challenges, striving to always give our best.
